Course Type Approved for Continuing Education

  • Classroom courses
  • Self Study courses
  • Webcast/video or web-conference webinar

Final Exam

  • Final exam is closed book.
  • A passing score of 70 percent or greater is required for the successful completion of the course.

Certificate of Completion

To get your certificate of completion, log in to our website using your username and password. Then, look at the menu on the left and find "Course History." Your course history will list the courses you passed or failed. If you passed a course, you'll see a "Print certificate" button on the right, allowing you to print your certificate for your records.

How are Hours Reported

We report your credits through Sircon, a state-approved third party vendor, within one business day (except holidays, reporting will be done on next business day). The department receives the credits from Sircon and recognizes the date you passed/completed the exam as the date of completion. It is not based upon the day we report the hours to them.

Course Repetition

  • Agents are not allowed to receive or carry forward credit for the same course in the same renewal cycle regardless of format when the course content is based on the same published materials. It is the agent’s responsibility to check the course number to be sure a course is not a duplicate.
  • Public Adjuster
    • You are not allowed to receive credit for the same course in the same biennium.
    • CE credit cannot be given for a duplicate course taught in alternative formats (classroom course, on-line course, video or audio conference, web-conference based, etc.) if the curriculum is based on the same published materials; this rule applies to any variation of course types.

Carry-over Hours

  • Consultant/Producer
    • Excess credit hours accumulated during any renewal cycle may be carried forward to the next renewal cycle only.
    • Excess CE credits will not be carried over if you fail to renew your license during the 90-day renewal period.
  • Public Adjuster
    • Excess CE credits will not be carried forward to the next renewal cycle.
